Come celebrate the new comedy docu-series YVR Funny at its inaugural season premiere event. The series showcases 8 of Vancouver’s funniest new comedians emerging from within the local Vancouver comedy and arts scene.

The first four episodes will screen, then we'll have a short intermission, followed by the final four episodes. The total runtime of the series is 160minutes, or 8x20min episodes.

YVR Funny is an original series that serves as a new stepping stone within the Canadian comedy industry. The show features a diverse cast of local stand up comedians; in episode order, they are: Toddy, Savannah Erasmus, An Te Chu, Danika Thibault, DJ On, Sasha Mark, Em Cooper, and Tin Lorica. These emerging artists share their best material, and give inspiring answers to intimate questions that allow audiences an inside look into the art form.

YVR Funny will also premiere on TELUS Optik™ TV On Demand, available on November 15th 2022. Later this year, audiences can stream each episode from the STORYHIVE YouTube channel.

Jackie Hoffart, creator, producer and director of YVR Funny, hopes that audiences will enjoy the docu-series and support the local arts community.

“YVR Funny, is a docu-series that captures the joy and creativity of 8 of Vancouver’s funniest emerging comedians. I created these bite-size glimpses of the overwhelmingly talented local community to champion them as they bridge the gap between ‘emerging’ and ‘professional’ in the Canadian comedy industry. - Jackie Hoffart, Creator, Producer, Director of YVR Funny

We strongly encourage the wearing of masks while indoors to facilitate community care during this ongoing pandemic.
