Decadence Fire & Rice An API Revue

Diasporic Dynasty, Vancouver’s BIPOC Performing Collective is BACK! We called in the ancestors and are proud to shine a light on our talented, glamorous, ferocious community:  This Asian & Pacific Islander History, Heritage, & Futures Month, we’re bringing you our next show, FIRE AND RICE!

Doors 7:00pm
Tickets: see below
19+/No Minors

Join us at The Fox Cabaret on Wednesday, May 29th, for a stunning evening, featuring live music, burlesque, drag, traditional dance, and comedy, with a brilliant and diverse list of API performers. We are everything, everywhere, all at once, so get ready to behold our gifts!

Are you in a winning mood? We’re hosting a community aid fundraiser with incredible raffle prizes from local businesses, so bring cash, your besties, your good luck charm, and your cheering voice! We might even give another prize for The Best Mask Wearer again.

We are offering guests/fans the option to sponsor tickets (Pay It Forward) for guests who might not otherwise be able to attend, due to financial barriers. Please give generously if you feel able and inclined.

Please be advised that if you sit in the front row, the host may interact with you. Buy a ticket at your delight/peril.

This venue has gender neutral/inclusive bathrooms, is wheelchair accessible, and has a bathroom for friends with mobility needs. There is also an ATM on site.

Wearing a mask is recommended, as the venue is an intimate space.

We will have duckbill surgical 95PFE-L2 masks available for anybody who would like one, courtesy of Masks For East Van.

We prioritize the safety of our performers, staff, and audience. With community safety in mind, we have a zero-tolerance policy for any formats of racism and prejudice (including but not limited to Sinophobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia, Arabophobia, anti-Semitism, anti-Blackness, anti-Indigeneity), queerphobia, transphobia, ableism, fatphobia, ageism, or creeps. If we don’t like your vibe, you get to go outside.

We are not able to offer refunds.

We acknowledge that this show is being held on the ancestral, traditional, unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh(Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples. We recognize that we are uninvited guests that benefit from the strength and bounty of this land, and we thank the Indigenous keepers who have cared for this earth and continue to do so.

Special thanks to the Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre for their support for this event.
